Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") describes the acceptable and prohibited uses of the Lextiff platform ("Services") operated by Canvas Chrome Designs.

This Policy forms part of the Lextiff Terms of Service and applies to every Customer, Authorized User, administrator, contractor, employee, and any other individual accessing the Services.

Failure to comply with this Policy may result in suspension or termination of access to the Services.

1. Purpose

Lextiff is designed to help law firms securely manage legal matters, documents, communications, and related workflows.

This Policy exists to:

• protect Customers and their data;
• maintain the security and availability of the Services;
• ensure compliance with applicable laws;
• prevent abuse of the platform;
• support a trusted environment for all users.

2. Compliance With Laws

You must use the Services only in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, court rules, ethical obligations, and professional responsibilities.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Services complies with the laws applicable to your practice, jurisdiction, and clients.

3. Authorized Use

You may use the Services solely for legitimate business purposes related to your legal practice or organization.

You may use the Services to:

• manage legal matters;
• organize documents;
• communicate with clients;
• manage workflows;
• track deadlines;
• manage settlements and expenses;
• collaborate with authorized personnel;
• generate reports;
• securely store business records.

4. Prohibited Activities

You may not use the Services to:

• violate any law or regulation;
• commit fraud;
• engage in deceptive practices;
• impersonate another person or organization;
• upload malicious software;
• distribute ransomware or spyware;
• transmit viruses or harmful code;
• interfere with platform security;
• attempt unauthorized access;
• bypass authentication controls;
• exploit software vulnerabilities;
• reverse engineer the platform;
• scrape data from the Services;
• harvest user information;
• overload or disrupt platform infrastructure;
• interfere with other Customers' use of the Services;
• circumvent subscription limitations;
• share accounts among unauthorized users.

5. Customer Data

You are solely responsible for all information uploaded or transmitted through the Services.

You agree not to upload content that:

• violates applicable law;
• infringes intellectual property rights;
• violates confidentiality obligations;
• contains malicious software;
• contains unlawful or fraudulent material;
• is intentionally misleading;
• violates the privacy rights of others.

Lextiff does not routinely monitor Customer Data but reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this Policy or applicable law.

6. Professional Responsibility

Lextiff is a software platform and does not provide legal advice.

You remain solely responsible for:

• legal strategy;
• legal research;
• court filings;
• statute of limitations calculations;
• trust accounting compliance;
• client communications;
• professional judgment;
• verification of AI-generated content;
• compliance with attorney ethical obligations.

Use of the Services does not replace independent professional review.

7. Artificial Intelligence Features

Where available, AI-assisted features are intended solely to improve productivity.

You must independently review all AI-generated content before relying upon it.

You may not use AI features to:

• generate unlawful content;
• violate professional obligations;
• infringe intellectual property rights;
• misrepresent AI-generated content as verified legal advice;
• attempt to circumvent platform safeguards.

Lextiff may limit or suspend access to AI functionality if misuse is detected.

8. Security Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

You agree to:

• use strong passwords;
• keep credentials confidential;
• enable multi-factor authentication where available;
• promptly remove access for former employees;
• report suspected unauthorized access;
• maintain appropriate endpoint security within your organization.

You may not intentionally test or probe the security of the Services without prior written authorization from Lextiff.

9. System Integrity

You may not:

• interfere with platform performance;
• perform denial-of-service attacks;
• automate excessive requests;
• attempt to overload servers;
• interfere with platform monitoring;
• circumvent usage limits;
• manipulate system metrics;
• exploit software defects.

Reasonable use of publicly documented APIs is permitted in accordance with applicable documentation and subscription limits.

10. Third-Party Integrations

If you connect third-party services to Lextiff, you are responsible for ensuring that:

• you have authority to connect those services;
• such integrations comply with applicable laws;
• credentials are maintained securely;
• integrations do not compromise platform security.

Lextiff is not responsible for third-party services or their availability.

11. Monitoring and Enforcement

To protect the security, integrity, and availability of the Services, Lextiff may monitor platform activity, system performance, authentication events, audit logs, and security alerts to detect misuse, fraud, or security incidents.

Where reasonably necessary, Lextiff may investigate suspected violations of this Policy.

12. Suspension and Termination

Lextiff may suspend or terminate access to the Services if it reasonably believes that a Customer or Authorized User has:

• violated this Policy;
• violated the Terms of Service;
• engaged in fraudulent activity;
• created a security risk;
• attempted unauthorized access;
• used the Services for unlawful purposes;
• failed to pay applicable subscription fees.

Where appropriate, Lextiff may provide an opportunity to remedy the violation before terminating access. However, Lextiff may immediately suspend access where necessary to protect the Services, other Customers, or comply with applicable law.

13. Reporting Abuse

If you become aware of misuse of the Services, security vulnerabilities, or suspected violations of this Policy, please notify us promptly.

14. Changes to This Policy
